After the exciting Maybach Music Group press conference yesterday in New York, the MMG Crew appeared on BET’s 106 & Park to introduce Omarion as their newest member! The Boss aka Rick Ross, brought out the whole team to kick it with Terrence and Rocsi as they also announced his, Meek Mill’s and French Montana’s album release dates.

The crew also debuted the World Premiere video for “Bag of Money” which features Ricky Rozay, T-Pain, Wale and Meek Mill. The song will be featured on MMG’s second compilation album, entitled “Self Made Vol. 2″ – which hits stores on June 26th! Check out what went down on 106 below!

As you all know, Maybach Music Group held a press conference yesterday afternoon in New York City at the Kimpton Hotel to announce a few album release dates and to introduce the newest member of the team, our boy Omarion! O stood before a room full of media reporters, photographers and bloggers and said a few words about signing to MMG.

“First and foremost I wanna thank everyone for coming out, not only for this special moment in my career, but for this special day in music. Mr. Rozay, it’s a pleasure. And to my comrades, it’s a pleasure.”

“Today I become a made man. My history is not a mystery. My name is Omarion aka Maybach O aka Luke Skywalker.”

Out of the blue, Maybach Music CEO Rick Ross has surprised us all with his latest signing, veteran R&B Singer, Omarion. O has been pretty quiet the past couple of years, but after a chance encounter at the CIAA in March, the two aligned. O was hoping to get a guest appearance from Ross, but the biggest Bawse upped the ante, with a recording contract. Shaheem: Maybach O? That’s your new movement? That’s how you feel right now?

Omarion: Yeah, Maybach O. That’s the new movement, man. I’m so excited. I can’t even express, you know, how excited I am, you know what I mean? And just how this whole thing came along, man, it’s just…It’s been a blessing. There’s a difference between your time and when you want to do things and God’s time, you know what I mean? And this right here man, it’s been God’s time, man. I saw Ross in North Carolina, you know, and I was telling him like “Yo I’m bout to do…”

Shaheem: At the CIAA?

Omarion: Yup. I saw him out there and I was like “Yo, I’m ‘bout to…you know, I need you on these records, man, you know what I’m sayin’? I’m ‘bout to do this ill so and so with so and so.” And he was like “Man, we need to have a conversation before that.” And we sat down and he said some real important things to me that not even executives have said to me, you know what I mean? He showed that love and he showed that respect and he was like “I believe in you,” you know what I mean? I can’t even count to you how many times on my hand in my whole career that I’ve actually had people tell me that.

At today’s Maybach Music Group press conference, moderated by Rap Radar’s Elliott Wilson, Rick Ross and co. made numerous reveals, including the announcement of Omarion as the newest member of Maybach Music. Before Omarion (aka “Maybach O”) shared his gratitude and debuted a teaser to his upcoming video for “Let’s Talk,” all members of Maybach Music Group — except for Stalley, who is currently on tour — announced the release dates for their upcoming projects: Maybach Music’s second compliation album, “Self Made Vol. 2″ (June 26), Meek Mill ‘s debut album, “Dreams and Nightmares” (August 28), and Rick Ross’ highly-anticipated “God Forgives, I Don’t,” out July 31.

Close to 2:30 EST on Wednesday (May 2), the conference room at Kimpton Hotel, Eventi, quickly filled with writers (HipHopDX, Rolling Stone, Grantland, Complex, ItstheReal), photographers, Def Jam and Warner Bros publicists and executives — Lyor Cohen, Steve Bartels, Todd Moscowitz, Joie Manda, Gabe Tesoriero, Alexandra Bianchi, J.D. Anderson, Phylicia Fant, and hip-hop moguls Swizz Beatz and Diddy.

Lyor Cohen shared a few words on Def Jam’s legacy and his respect with Ross before introducing the rapper. “When I got a chance to meet him, I saw someone that was going to be undeterred in achieving the success that he has,” Cohen said, via HipHopDX. “He’s not satisfied. There’s no stopping him. I’m so grateful that I’m associated with him and that the Warner Bros. label is associated with him. The possibilities that Rick and Maybach Music are going to bring is going to be, in my mind, unprecedented.”
